VerdictThe short version

Move.ai replaced Move Pro with Genesis — enterprise, on-premise, priced by quote. If you're enterprise-scale, book the demo. For everyone Move Pro actually served — teams shooting multi-camera on GoPros and phones — mimem is built for exactly that gap.

The lineupAfter the pivot

The middle is missing.

A phone app below, a sales call above — the tier Move Pro occupied is vacant. That's the tier mimem was built for.

Move One

$18–$490/mo + VAT

One camera, one performer, 60-second clips, credit metering. The phone app.

The middle

Free · €25–€199/mo

Self-serve multi-camera with flat pricing — where Move Pro lived. mimem lives here: up to 12 calibration-free cameras, engine-ready FBX, commercial rights on every plan.

Move Genesis

Quote-only

Enterprise and on-premise: Z-Cam rigs, dedicated GPU hardware, studio support. No published price.

ReviewsAn independent comparison

“Same footage… processed using Move Pro, the $7,000 per year system. And on the right we have mimem, which is using just three of the six GoPros and costs $25 per month. They're both really good.

MigrationYour rig still works

Keep the GoPros. Skip the rig.

mimem takes the same footage Move Pro did — GoPros, phones, DSLRs — up to 12 angles, no calibration step, FBX out. Start with the multi-camera guide and the camera placement guide.

Credit where dueWhere Move wins

Where Move still wins.

  • Real-time on stage

Move Live streams into Unreal as you perform; Genesis adds low-latency pre-viz. mimem reconstructs offline.

  • Enterprise deployments

On-premise, no credits, studio support, EA pedigree. If data sovereignty and SLAs are requirements, that's its territory.

  • USD export

Move exports USD alongside FBX; mimem is FBX-first.

If you're quote-sized, Move will treat you well. This page is for everyone whose budget isn't.

Frequently Asked Questions

In April 2026, Move.ai replaced Move Pro on its site with Genesis, an enterprise on-premise system (reported by 80.lv and Lifeboat; observed 31 July 2026). Move hasn't published a formal discontinuation notice — Move Pro still appears in its legal pages — but the product is no longer sold self-serve.

Move.ai hasn't said so officially, and we won't claim it. What's verifiable: Genesis replaced Move Pro on move.ai in April 2026, and there is no self-serve way to buy Move Pro today (observed 31 July 2026).

Move's docs list a $995 30-day trial with roughly 1,000 credits and up to 4 cameras (observed 31 July 2026); beyond that, plans were custom, and creators have reported figures around $7,000 a year for two-actor setups. Genesis, its successor, has no published price.

For most self-serve setups, yes. mimem reconstructs from up to 12 synchronized cameras — GoPros included — with no calibration step, and exports FBX that retargets to any character, stylized included, with IK retargeting for precise feet and hand placement. What it doesn't do is real-time: if you livestream motion to a stage, Move Live remains the tool.

Genesis is enterprise, on-premise and priced by quote (observed 31 July 2026) — built for studios with dedicated capture stages and the hardware to match. Nothing stops a small team from requesting a quote, but it isn't a self-serve product.
