Access & Accounts
- How do I access mimem.ai? Do I need to create an account?
You can access mimem.ai by creating a free user account. Logging in to the platform constitutes acceptance of the license agreement (Terms of Use).
- What browsers and devices are supported ?
mimem.ai is designed for the latest desktop versions of Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Safari.
You can capture footage with a computer webcam, USB cameras, or any phone or tablet that has a modern browser and a stable internet connection.
A dedicated Android / iOS companion app is also in development to make mobile capture even easier.
- Do I need to install any software or use special hardware to use Mimem.ai?
No. Everything runs in the cloud. A supported browser, an internet connection and at least one camera (webcam, USB or mobile) are all you need.
- Can I share my account or login credentials with others (e.g. my team)?
No. Login credentials are personal and non-transferable. Each team member should create a separate account. You remain responsible for any activity performed with your credentials.
File Format & Compatibility
- In what format do I get the motion capture results, and will they work with my animation software or game engine?
Results are exported as FBX files. These animations should work in Unreal Engine and Unity.
You can test the free sample file first to confirm compatibility with your game engine or DCC tools.
Intellectual Property & Usage Rights
- Can I use the animations I create with mimem.ai for commercial projects?
Yes. The license allows you to use generated animations in games, films, ads, XR/VR and other professional productions.
- Do I keep ownership of my videos and results, and can mimem.ai use or retain them?
Yes. You keep full ownership of both your uploaded videos and the FBX files you download.
By default, mimem.ai keeps your uploads and may use them to improve the platform while your account is active and for up to one year after it closes. If you don’t want your footage to be used for service enhancement, you can opt out at any time by contacting support.
- How does Mimem.ai handle personal data and ensure GDPR compliance?
mimem.ai follows GDPR. You have rights to access, correct, erase and port your data, and may contact CNIL if needed.
- Are there any restrictions on the videos I upload or permissions needed (for example, if people appear in the video)?
Yes. You must hold the rights to any video you upload or have written permission to use it. If recognizable people appear in the footage, you are responsible for obtaining an image-rights release from each person before uploading.

- How much footage can I process with each plan?
At 30 fps you can process about 50 seconds on the Free plan per day and per camera, a little over 8 minutes on Essential, and more than 1 hour 20 minutes on Pro, making mimem.ai far cheaper thant most online mocap services !

- What happens when I stop my subscription?
Your paid features remain active until the end of the current billing period (month or year). After that date your account switch to Free plan, subject to its limits
- What support does Mimem.ai provide if I have issues using the platform?
Support covers platform usage questions and malfunction reports. It does not include troubleshooting of your own hardware or unrelated software.
- How can I cancel my Mimem.ai subscription or terminate my account?
To cancel a paid plan, open the Subscription page and click “Cancel plan” under Manage your subscription.
To terminate your account entirely, contact support.
- What happens to my data (my uploaded videos and results) once my account is terminated ?
When you terminate your account, mimem.ai can keep your uploades and results for up to one year, then deletes them permanently. Files can’t be retrieved after deletion so make sure to download and store local backups.
