📱 Smartphone Setup Guide
Pairing a smartphone or tablet with Mimem.ai takes only a minute. Follow the steps below to turn any mobile device into an extra camera
Launch smartphone pairing
From the Record screen, click +iOS/Android Cam.
A popup will display a QR code you can open on your phone or device.
Name your device and pick a lens
After scanning the QR code with your phone, a browser window will open showing the camera view.
You can then:
- Give your device a custom name
- Pick the camera lens you want to use (front, back, wide, etc.)
Use the back camera for higher image quality. You can also turn your phone sideways to automatically switch to landscape mode.
Your device is ready!
Once connected, the phone's video stream will appear on your computer screen.
Repeat the process for each additional phone you want to connect. You can use up to 3 devices (or 10 with the Pro Plan, check out our Pricing page for more details).
When you’re done, just close the popup. All connected phones stay active and visible by name.
To disconnect, simply close the browser tab on the device.
